When ClickUp fits
ClickUp supports creative review as well as task management. Its Proofing feature allows comments on images, videos, and PDFs, with plan-dependent availability. Teams already using ClickUp for work across departments should test whether their existing setup can support the creative workflow before replacing it.
When Henshu fits
Henshu brings projects, video review, files, social planning, and client spaces into an agency-focused workflow. Test it when the hard part is getting producers, editors, and clients through the same job without building a large process around it. The Agency plan adds separate branded client spaces; regular team plans do not.
Compare the handoff, not a list of ticks
Use a small real project to test the decision. Put the same brief, media file, deadline, and reviewer into each workflow. Ask the editor to find the next action and the client to leave useful feedback without a call. Include setup, permissions, and the work after approval in your evaluation.
- Compare the setup a producer needs before the first edit starts.
- Ask a client to leave feedback on the correct video version.
- Check guest access and what each client can see.
- Test a complete path from the brief through review to the publishing draft.
Move one workflow before moving everything
Keep your current files and history available while you test. Start with one project and confirm how comments, versions, account access, and exports will be handled. Henshu does not promise an automatic import of all ClickUp history. Check the current plan limits and any integrations you need before choosing a replacement.
