Give the file a job to belong to
A folder can hold the asset, but a task tells the team why it matters. Keep the brief, source material, and review close to the deliverable they support. Clear names help people choose the correct file before they download, review, or publish it.
Keep source material and finished work clear
Use folders and file names that distinguish inputs from approved outputs. A final export should be easy to find without guessing from a series of “final-final” names. When a new version replaces a cut, make the task and review point to the current work.
- Group assets by the project or campaign that needs them.
- Keep raw inputs separate from files ready for review.
- Use a clear version or date when the distinction matters.
- Check access before sharing a file or review with a client.
Work with the sources your team uses
The Files area supports configured Google Drive and Dropbox connections. Browse the account you have connected and use the available file actions. A cloud connection does not grant every workspace member access by default, and a transferred copy does not become an automatic two-way sync.
Check the handoff after upload
Confirm the upload or transfer completed, open the file, and make sure the next person can reach it. Storage and upload limits still apply. For video feedback, attach the intended cut to the review rather than relying on a folder name to tell the client which version to watch.
