Start with a shared definition of ready
A signed scope does not tell an editor where the logo is or who approves the first cut. Before production starts, gather the brand assets, access, deliverable list, and decision makers. Keep missing items visible with an owner and date so the team does not discover them during the edit.
Set up the relationship
- Confirm the main client contact and final approver.
- For Agency plans, create the client sub-workspace and add its logo and banner.
- Invite the team and client with the access each person needs.
- Create the first project with the agreed deliverables and due dates.
- Collect the brief, brand assets, and reference links in the right place.
- Walk the client through one sample review and agree on feedback deadlines.
Keep access separate from convenience
Use individual accounts and test what the client can see. Cloud file access and Henshu workspace access are separate choices. Connect or share only the account and project access the work needs. When a contact leaves the client’s team, review their membership and any links you have shared.
End onboarding with a real next action
Assign the first production task, confirm the next review date, and tell the client where to ask questions. On Regular or Professional, use the regular team workspace and project access available on the plan. Branded client sub-workspaces require the Agency plan.
